The Paris Summer Festival and its amazing wealth of entertainment

Since 1990, the Paris Summer Festival has offered a wealth of outdoor entertainment in the form of dance shows, plays, music concerts and circus performances taking place near monuments, in parks and other unusual settings... From July 12th to August 3rd, 2019 there will be more than 70 live events, mostly free, presented at thirty different locations. Don’t miss the fireworks of the Compagnie Carabosse at la Villette, the exhilarating performances of theatre and music at the Japy Gymnasium or the acrobatics and balancing shows at the Monnaie de Paris, as well as other equally astonishing presentations at the Museum of Romantic Life, the Jardin des Arènes de Montmartre and many more venues.

Paris Plages, a Parisian summer under palm trees...

Every summer since 2002, the banks of the Seine and the Bassin de la Villette have been transformed into pop-up seaside resorts. The celebration of beach delights known as Paris Plages now takes place in several locations, including the Parc Rives de Seine, Quai de Loire, the forecourt of the Hotel de Ville and the Bassin de la Villette, where you’ll find paddle boats and three floating swimming pools. From July 7th to September 2nd, 2019, the city provides deckchairs, parasols and palm trees so you can enjoy plenty of free relaxation, entertainment and recreation as a welcome respite from the summer heat.
